Rice Cake with Caramelized Shredded Coconut (Thai Dessert) - Kanom Tom Dang ขนมต้มแดง

This is traditional Thai dessert that always uses in ancient ceremony and uses with “Kanom Tom Khaw”. This dessert is quite hard to find nowadays but it is not difficult to do it at home. Rice cake is made from sticky rice flour and caramelized shredded coconut is made from palm sugar. Shredded coconut will have red color and served with rice cake that is why named “Kanom Tom Dang”.
