The screen (not including the frame) is 17 inches horizontally, and ten inches vertical. Its not bad but its not great either.I have no complaints virtually the clarity of this monitor. This is vitamin A another great dell monitor. I only gave it trey stars because there is no adjustment on the stand, and it sits pretty low. Before buying this iodin was considering an HP model that looked good when I saw it in the stores but 1 was never able to find one in stock. Its group A good LED xx inch monitor. If I had it to do over again I would have waited for the HP because of the color issues with this monitor.

I have owned this monitor for just about tetrad months now, bought it at antiophthalmic factor big box store for around the same price. The 17" has better colors than this one, blues on that monitor look like blue, on this one sort of type A blueish purple nothing 1 have been able to do in the colors selection ...
